Srinagar, August 02 (KNO) : US made M-24 sniper riffle and a Pak made mine was recovered from yatra stretch and that there is a serious threat to the Amarnath Yatra that militants may attack it by using IEDs, top Army and police officers told a presser here. According to KNO Correspondent, while addressing a joint presser at 15 Corps headquarters here, GoC KJS Dhillon, DGP Dilbagh Singh, IGP Kashmir S P and ADG CRPF said that the sniper and the landmine was recovered enroute the cave shrine after extensive searches for the last three days.  They said that there are serious inputs that militants may target the Amarnath Yatra but forces are on alert mode to thwart all such designs. GoC Dhillon said the land mine has a manufacturing number of Pakistani company. Meanwhile, in an order issued here by the Home Secretary Shaleen Kabra, a copy which lies with KNO reads that Yatris and tourists have been asked to move out of Kashmir after threats of attack on Amarnath pilgrims.(KNO)
